Bret Michaels records track with My Darkest Days’ Sal Costa for upcoming album

Poison’s Bret Micheals has announced some of the guests off his upcoming solo album Get Your Rock On  and it includes Toronto homeboy Sal Costa of My Darkest Days. True fans know this song actually dropped in January and features another notable guitarist, Michaels’ touring pal and Def Leppard badass Phil Collen. You can download it of iTunes here. Michaels says of Costa, “[He’s a] really, really good guitar player and good friend.”

saidthewhaleSAID THE WHALE announce their forthcoming new studio album will be called Little Mountain and released internationally on March 6, 2012 via Hidden Pony Records/EMI. The 15 track long player will be the band’s third record. Today, November 8 the 2011 Juno Award Winners for New Group Of The Year will release the lead single from Little Mountain, the dancefloor-catchy Heavy Ceiling which features an unmistakable and contemporary nod to The Knack’s My Sharona in the chorus. The single reflects the confident, complete and razor sharp sound we can expect from this new Said The Whale album. Little Mountain was produced by Tom Dobrzanski and mixed by multiple Grammy Award winner, Jack Joseph Puig.

You may have heard Chad VanGaalen muse last week about a new series of albums that he has in the hopper. Collected from the stacks and stacks of recordings that Chad has amassed over the last five years, this tape series is made up of material from across the broad spectrum of Chad’s diverse output, collected into albums and pressed on limited run cassettes. Now on this upcoming tour, the first eight of these albums will be available in limited quantities on the merch table.
