Big and loud, roaring guitars and drums from some fierce ladies.
Not knowing much about the Beaches, I thought the performance would have been more laid back, but I was very wrong. High energy and aggression, it was impossible to look away.
Very professional, they were organized, didn’t waste time and when they addressed the audience it was because they had something to say. A very punctual and tight set.
Half of the band had a style they were going for, though the other half looked like they just threw on whatever. The lead singer looks like Gwen Stefani circa 1996, heavily influences her, not necessarily a bad thing, though it was interesting. If they all worked a bit harder to look like a band who wants to be seen it would work to their benefit.
Absolutely believable that this is them and it’s coming from the heart. It would be a shame if a record exec tried to come around and mold these girls for the mainstream. They are doing just fine.
