TMS Indie Week Band of the Day: South of France

Toronto Music Scene September 6, 2012
Colorado’s South of France are one of the bands we’re most excited to see at this year’s Indie Week. Started two years ago by Jeff Cormack, an award winning producer and multi-instrumentalist who’s music has been featured in films across the globe, and rounded out by the muffled Cults-like vocals of Kelly Leuke, South of France possesses an electro-fuzz indie sound along the vein of Blonde Redhead and Best Coast. They dropped their debut LP Another Boring Sunrise earlier this summer after receiving hype from multiple magazines including Filter. Their first single “Lost In The Morning” is a perfect summer love song, something to be enjoyed and sipped while it’s still pretty enough outside to wear thin dresses. Indie Week takes place in Toronto from October 10-14. Check out for more detailed information, ticket purchases and performance date announcements. Follow @IndieWeek on Twitter for updates.
