Bret Michaels records track with My Darkest Days’ Sal Costa for upcoming album

Poison’s Bret Micheals has announced some of the guests off his upcoming solo album Get Your Rock On  and it includes Toronto homeboy Sal Costa of My Darkest Days. True fans know this song actually dropped in January and features another notable guitarist, Michaels’ touring pal and Def Leppard badass Phil Collen. You can download it of iTunes here. Michaels says of Costa, “[He’s a] really, really good guitar player and good friend.”

Other top contributors include a re-recorded rendition of babetastic ballad “Every Rose Has It’s Thorn” with the classic Loretta Lynn. Michaels told Rolling Stone, “For me, growing up in a family that my father loved country music and [Lynn biopic] Coal Miner’s Daughter, this is gonna be a really awesome time.” He also recorded a live version of “Margaritaville” with Jimmy Buffett. Both tracks will appear as b-sides.

Michaels will be hitting the road with Def Leppard again this summer.  I caught the tour last time it rolled through town and it was obviously awesome. Maybe this time Costa will guest?
